## West Jordan: planning the visit

For an HVAC enquiry tied to a home expansion, describe the current floor plan and the planned rooms. Tell the contractor which spaces are already uncomfortable. Ask whether the assessment covers the existing distribution system and the proposed addition before accepting a simple equipment-size comparison.

## Questions and answers

### Can I choose the same size as the old system?

The old rating is useful background, but it is not a design assessment. Ask how the contractor accounts for the current building, rooms served and any alterations. A written proposal should explain the basis for the selected capacity and the related installation work.
